Important Notice: Fee Refund Policy for Session 2025-26

Reference: Revised Information Brochure 2025-26 issued by this Vishwavidyalaya inviting the online applications for admission to various UG/PG Programmes

In partial modification to above referred Information Brochure 2025-26, it is notified for information of all concerned that in view of UGC letter, a full refund of fees shall be made on account of all cancellations of admissions/migrations of students up to September 30th, 2025 and thereafter deducting not more than Rs.1000/- as processing fee up to October 31st, 2025.

Fee Refund Schedule

In case extending the admission schedule beyond after October 31st, 2025 the provision should be as under:

2. 90% Less than 15 days before the formally notified last date of admission
3. 80% 15 days or less after the formally notified last date of admission
4. 50% 30 days or less, but more than 15 days after formally notified last date of admission
5. 0% More than 30 days after formally notified last date of admission

* Inclusive of course fees and non-tuition fees but exclusive of caution money and security deposit

UGC Guidelines for Fee Refund+

UGC Fee Refund Policy 2025-26

  • A full refund of fees shall be made on account of all cancellations of admissions/migrations of students up to 30 September 2025.
  • For cancellations/withdrawals between October 1-31, 2025, a deduction of not more than Rs.1,000 as processing fee is allowed.
  • The above guidelines apply to all higher education institutions recognized under UGC.
  • For any admission schedule extending beyond October 31st, 2025, the provisions contained in the UGC Notification on Refund of Fees shall apply.
  • This policy will remain in force for subsequent academic sessions until the issuance of a revised policy by the UGC.

Student Grievance Redressal

The UGC has notified the Redressal of Grievances of Students Regulations, 2023, wherein "delay in, or denial of, the refund of fees due to a student who withdraws admission within the time mentioned in the prospectus, subject to guidelines, if any, issued by the Commission, from time to time" has been defined as one of the grievances.

Any Higher Education Institution violating the provisions of UGC Fee Refund Policy 2025-26 shall be liable for punitive action as notified in Clause 5 of the UGC Notification on Refund of Fees and Non-Retention of Original Certificates.

How to Apply for Fee Refund+

    Submit Application Form

    For refund of fee, candidates must submit the application in prescribed proforma (Appendix-R) of the Information Brochure for the academic year 2025-26.

    Attach Required Documents

    Include a copy of your admission letter, fee receipt, and any other documents specified in the refund form.

    Submit to Academic Section

    Submit the completed form and documents to the Academic Section of the Vishwavidyalaya.

    Track Application Status

    Keep your application reference number for tracking the status of your refund request.

Important Note:

Applications for fee refund must be submitted within the stipulated time frame. Delayed applications may result in reduced refund amounts as per the policy.

1. How long does it take to process a fee refund request?

Typically, fee refund requests are processed within 15-20 working days after the submission of a complete application with all required documents.

2. Will I get a refund if I cancel my admission before classes start?

Yes, if you cancel your admission before September 30th, 2025, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel between October 1-31, 2025, a processing fee of Rs.1,000 will be deducted.

3. What documents are required for applying for a fee refund?

You need to submit the completed Appendix-R form along with a copy of your admission letter, fee receipt, and a letter stating the reason for withdrawal.

4. How will I receive my refund amount?

Refunds are typically processed to the same account or mode of payment used for the initial fee payment. In special cases, alternative modes may be considered upon request.
