For the development of department, first priority to give good education in both ways theoretically and practically. Developed the skill for research and entrepreneurship.

Different points are given below for development of department-
1. Developing best infrastructure for study in normal and smart ways.
2. To provide fully facilitated research lab.
3. To conduct national and international seminars and workshop.
4. Developing climate smart agricultural practices.
5. Use of modern extension practices for effective transfer of technologies.
6. Conducting research leading to excellence in areas of Agriculture and its allied fields including Veterinary, Animal, Dairy and Fishery Sciences for the growth of livestock and fishery sectors.
7. Dissemination of innovative technologies for socio-economic transformation. Imparting education in Agriculture and its related fields including but not limited to Sustainable Agriculture, Post harvest, Veterinary, Animal, Fishery and Dairy Sciences for the advancement of learning so as to contribute quality human resource both to industry and educational institutions.
8. Calibration of production technology for organic farming.
9. Implementation of nano technology in the field of agriculture.
10. Enhancement in yield and quality of crops of tribal area.
