Role and Jurisdiction
The Ombudsperson is an independent authority appointed to ensure fair and timely redressal of student grievances in accordance with the Vishwavidyalaya Grants Commission (Redressal of Grievances of Students) Regulations, 2023. The Ombudsperson works in coordination with the Student Grievance Redressal Committee and provides an appellate platform if the internal mechanism fails.

Grievance Process

1Submit initial grievance to Department/Faculty level committee

2If unresolved, escalate to Vishwavidyalaya Student Grievance Redressal Committee (USGRC)

3If still unsatisfied, appeal to the Ombudsperson within 15 days of USGRC decision

4Ombudsperson reviews case and provides recommendation within 30 days
